What is Therapeutic Massage?

Therapeutic massage is generally used to treat musculoskeletal problems; its primary aim is to relieve pain, reduce stress, and work on a specific problem—such as back or knee pain or frozen shoulder.

Massage also stimulates the lymphatic system removing toxins from the body, enhancing tissue repair and allowing the immune system to function more effectively and improves the circulation of blood through the body. There are many different types of massage, from deep tissue massage to relaxing massage, but all modalities share the common feature of manipulating the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalising those tissues.
